PAULA JOSSART JOINS OTTEN & ASSOCIATES FIRM
Four time “Rising Star” and a “Minnesota Attorney of the Year” will focus on litigation in personal injury cases in Minnesota and across the U.S.
Leading Twin Cities attorney Paula Jossart has joined the Otten & Associates law firm and will be a key member of its personal injury practice team. A highly regarded member of the legal community, Jossart will litigate personal injury, motor vehicle and railroad accidents, and wrongful death cases, among others.

In her decade of personal injury practice in the Twin Cities, Jossart was named an “Attorney of the Year” by Minnesota Lawyer magazine for her success in gaining a $12.5 million verdict in a case where the plaintiff suffered serious burns in a boiler explosion. Selected as a “Top Young Lawyer in Minnesota” by Minneapolis St. Paul magazine, Jossart has also been named a “Rising Star” by Law & Politics magazine four times and a “true leader” alumnus by the William Mitchell College of Law Magazine.
A native of North Dakota, Jossart graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992 and received her Juris Doctor degree from the William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, in 1999. Jossart was admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota, in 1999, and has obtained favorable jury verdicts in numerous states, including Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Minnesota State Bar Association.
Jossart, a recognized leader in handling cases under the Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA), will assist clients across the U.S. in pursuing claims against railroads. A lead attorney in the claims involving the nation’s largest anhydrous ammonia spills, Jossart unearthed documentation indicating possible destruction of evidence by the defendant in the case. Numerous North Dakota families benefited from these favorable jury verdicts.
