Attorney Julie K. Seymour
Repeatedly cited as a "Rising Star" by Minnesota Law & Politics, Seymour assists clients with a range of often difficult and emotional family law issues, including dissolutions with complex issues, child custody disputes, paternity and domestic abuse. An experienced attorney and litigator, Seymour's practice also includes family growth through adoption, third-party custody and grandparent's rights. Building on her experience in family law, Seymour has expanded her practice to include mediation services, where her expertise in the law and mediation help parties reach agreement on difficult issues without litigation.
Seymour received her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Drake University Law School, Des Moines, Iowa. A native of Minnesota, she earlier received her Bachelor of Science degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
She has been admitted to practice in the State of Minnesota, U.S. District Court, the District of Minnesota, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit.
Seymour is a member of the Minnesota Association for Justice, the Minnesota State Bar Association and its Family Law and its Appellate Practice sections, the Dakota County Bar Association and the Collaborative Law Institute.
Involved in civic activities, Seymour is an active Volunteer of the Dakota County Family Law Self Help Center.
